30 Degrees, Fur Coat Anyone?

Hey Girls,

I’m back! One week off from writing as I really wasn’t feeling anything last weekend; I was all bunged up, run down and feeling like crap.

Anyway, it’s bank holiday weekend! And the weather is set to get better after the rainy rubbish we’ve had over the last couple of weeks. But classic, as the weather is hotting up, the new season autumn clothes hit down in the shops and we’re going shopping in almost 30 degrees with only fur coats and corduroy to buy. Fur is selling right now which in my head is absolute BONKERS but you’re either a buy forward or a buy now wear now shopper, I’m totally the latter.

I went round the shops in the West End (wrong decision as it was too hot and busy – I never learn!). I wasn’t intending to buy anything I just always love checking out what brands are buying into and the colours that are coming through. I was planning on trying on ‘new in’ but I honestly could not face putting any sort of long sleeve full length piece of clothing on. However there were some great colours and trends coming through the high-street.
So, whether you’re a buy forward or a buy now wear now shopper, we can all get excited about these trends, outfits, colours and shapes…

1. Leopard – It’s Not Going Anywhere!
Alexander Wang, Andrew GN, Celine, Kate Spade NY, Marc Jacobs – you name it, they’re doing leopard. Wear it in it’s true form or mix it up in shades of purple and pink a la Kate Spade.
Need some leopard in your life? Then look no further then these NEW high-street heroes…

Anthropologie faux-fur coat – £220 RP – it’s so soft I just want to curl up in a ball right there on the shop floor!

Arket’s bright orange leopard wool jumper is not one to take lightly – £115 RP – this one is a fire cracker and I love it!

Free People’s leopard & flowers slim midi dress – £128 RP – I love the idea of layering on two prints to separate itself from the common leopards out there.

2. Shades of Colour
As you probably know from my Instagram, I love playing around with colour and wearing tonal outfits of one colour; often pink! So I can definitely get on board with this trend coming through.Hermes, Gucci, Christian Wijnants, Capucci, Boss and Ann Demeulemeester

Arket are the boss at doing repeated and tonal bright colours in their collection, making it easy to mix and match. I am really feeling for the tones of green in their new season collection and when it gets a bit colder I might have to treat myself to this outfit, cheeky!
Jumper – £79 RP – https://www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/knitwear/product.alpaca-wool-blend-jumper-green.0662218012.html
Skirt – £69 RP – https://www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/skirts/product.pleated-crepe-skirt-yellow.0711661004.html

Not a colour gal? Then Arket’s earthy tones might be your cup of tea (same colour as tea too!)…
Top – £59 RP – https://www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/shirts-blouses/product.satin-zip-top-yellow.0623265011.html
Trousers – not online but similar for £59 – https://www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/trousers/product.fluid-twill-trousers-beige.0502327003.html

3. SPARKLE HONEY! She’s back and throwing all kinds of shades (Ru Paul anyone?)
David Koma, Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, Dolce and many more are all going back to glam and it’s as magnificent as ever.
Shine like a boss in this kick ass pencil skirt from & Other Stories – £169 (real leather!) –https://www.stories.com/en_gbp/clothing/skirts/product.metallic-leather-pencil-skirt-gold.0687624001.html Arket’s shiny blouse is not just for party season, wear it now with jeans and shine down your local street like the star you are (too magazine cheesy?) – £69 RP – https://www.arket.com/en_gbp/women/shirts-blouses/product.metallic-blouse-brown.0791095001.htm

So those are my top 3 trends that I am digging right now that have trickled down from catwalk to new in high-street already and it’s not even September! There’s so much more exciting product to arrive and by that point I’ll be able to try on jumpers without melting.

Have a good weekend girls!

Lots of love xxx
