Hey girls,
Happy weekend, can you believe we’re in February already! I’m writing this on the train back to Norwich for the weekend, feel like I’ve spent more time in Norwich than I have in London this year so far but so happy to be spending more time with my family.
Also thank you again to everyone who read last weekend’s blog post all about my dear Grandad Eric who unfortunately died a few weeks ago. Thank you even more to everyone who also donated money to my giving page. I am raising money for Cancer Research and doing the 10K race for life in July. If you haven’t had a chance to donate yet but would like to then please visit my giving page using the link below…

Anyway, there are two trends I’ve seen around recently that I keep thinking about and really feeling for; fedoras and sweater vests. This week I wore a cowboy inspired outfit with a pink rancher hat (below). I’ve had it for a good six months but was unsure about it at first, it wasn’t going with my outfits at the time. But I am totally feeling it now, I do always love a good hat – it suits my face shape quite well so I’m told – and I’m seeing more and more fedora outfits around on Instagram and street style. One of the bloggers I follow, Naoomiross who is based in Amsterdam, posted an outfit with a fedora this week as well (below). Great fedora inspired outfit by Naaomiross this week…
Below are some fabulous fedora outfit ideas I have saved on my Pinterest…
Winter whites are such a trend this season, this is so classic and stylish with a simple red lipstick. We all know I love a bit of orange!
Then the other thing I’m REALLY almost CRAVING is a sweater vest. Yes, one of those nan inspired ugly knitted scratchy things that you only find in vintage shops. I’ve seen a couple of times recently a sweater vest put together with a pretty printed blouse underneath and a pair of jeans and made a mental note that that’s a really cool outfit idea. The ‘ugly vest’ was featured on the SS20 catwalk back in September and slowly the trend is filtering through to bloggers and ‘influencers’ a like and soon to be on the high-street.
See below some inspiration pulled from Pinterest and SS20 catwalks…
Particularly love the sweater vest on the far left, giving off serious cowboy American girl Ralph Lauren vibes.Awesome Kenzo sweater tank!
God love a bit of purple, especially tonal matching lilac and plum together.
Cool idea for the Summer with a long pencil skirt, it would also work with a floaty pleated midi skirt untucked.
Have a good weekend girls and lots of love xxxxx
