Hey gang,
So the last time I was writing I mentioned that I bought not just my Daphne from Scooby Doo purple full length coat – 😂 – but also an oversized blazer number that I was yet to style. Well now that it has gotten colder this week I have been taking full advantage of my treasured coats including this blazer. I’ve been getting some good use out of it so thought I’d share my outfits so far.

Blazers have been a solid trend for a while now and while I think they look Uber cool on people I’ve seen in the street, Instagram etc I’ve never thought it was for me. Until I found this one in ALL my favourite colours and big buttons, lapels and shoulder pads – 80s heaven.
So here’s how I’ve been styling my blazer so far over the past week or so…
First up is check on check. Including the outfit above with the blue gingham skirt and then this yellow gingham dress underneath the blazer. Really enjoying the yellow and purple mix here with lilac New Balance trainers in keeping with the purple theme.
This blazer might make me fall in love with this skirt again actually. I’ve not worn this in over a year and I was thinking of finding it a new home but actually I am kind of vibing this outfit! With a casual black tee underneath all the purple like tones work together with black elements.
I wore this to the office this week when it was a super cold. My cashmere turban in burgundy goes so well with the blazer. Styled with Saturday my Megan Ellaby polo neck underneath the pink H&M dress and then my fur lined Dr Martens.
Another classic outfit with the blazer over a dress, purple everything – can’t go wrong.

Mixing the blazer up with pink here instead and I love it with this vintage shirt I’ve had for years and my Charlotte Simone two tone fur stole. Business on the top half and casual on the bottom half 😂
Then this tulle ball gown skirt which I have treasured for many years pairing with a blazer for the first time and I’m definitely here for it. Again with a black tee to make the outfit more casual and laidback.
Then finally a more traditional blazer outfit with trousers. I usually like to go for the unexpected in an outfit (as I’m sure you know) but I do like this more classic look.
Some more cool blazer styling I am loving pulled from Pinterest and Instagram…
