The Colour of the Moment

Hey gang,
I haven’t actually written a post in a while! I kind of stopped pressuring myself to write every week and to only do it when I feel I want to and actually have something to write about as this is just a hobby after all.

But anyway I felt this colour needed a blog post as it’s everywhere at the moment and I am obsessed…welcome onto the stage Kelly Green!

I first saw it land on the SS21 catwalks with the likes of Bottega Veneta, then on the SS22 catwalk Regina Pyo and Molly Goddard went big on the colour. Now we’ve got H&M, Zara, Arket, American Vintage – all the big names putting this colour on their shop floor.

It’s such a happy bright colour so of course I am on board 💚 After drooling over (not literally of course) this colour in American Vintage for months last season, I finally got my hands on a pair of jeans in the sale and I just love them!

A brief intro to these jeans, I’d never bought a pair from AV before and when trying clothes on there before I often feel like I’m in between sizes which is annoying. But I went to their shop in Soho and discovered (after speaking to the sales advisor) that they are actually meant to be low waist. Shock horror! I always thought low waist is the most unflattering and have always been loyal to the high waist jean. But after trying on the pair in the shop and playing around with the idea of it being lower waist it was actually rather flattering on the hips to my amazement. So I was sold and haven’t looked back.

I also want the matching twill jacket as pictured below.

They are called the ‘TINEBOROW’ jean and I’ve linked this picture to their website.

So I’ve been playing around in my wardrobe of different ways to wear them and of course what crazy colour combos I can come up with 😉…

It’s such a fab colour to go into Spring with – joyful, positive and looks great with coats and boots when it’s cold but also blouses in warmer times.
